Dr. Fatima Z. Husain is a fellowship trained urologist practicing with Total Urology Care of New York.
Dr. Husain is a New Jersey native who graduated from Rutgers University and obtained a Masters in Public Health, prior to graduating from medical school. She completed her residency training in urology at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York, and went on to complete the prestigious and competitive Advanced Robotics and Laparoscopy Fellowship at the University of Southern California’s Keck School of Medicine in Los Angeles, California under the mentorship of the renowned Dr. Inderbir Gill.
Prior to joining Total Urology Care of New York, Dr. Husain worked as an Attending and Clinical Instructor of Urology within the Mount Sinai Health System in New York.
Dr. Husain’s areas of expertise include: robotic and minimally invasive cancer and reconstructive surgery, the management and treatment of enlarged prostates, kidney stones, erectile dysfunction, voiding dysfunction, and various other male and female urologic conditions.
In addition to her work as a surgeon, Dr. Husain is an active contributor to the urology community in both academics and research, writing and publishing both book chapters and research papers, as well as teaching residents and medical students.
